Windows 10 usually connects to networks in this order, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and then Mobile broadband.
Whenever you connect to a new Wi-Fi network, it’s added and stored in the list of profiles by Windows. The details stored in the profile could include its name, password, encryption method used, SSID, etc.
But over a period of time, this list of Wi-Fi profiles can grow significantly and to preserve your privacy or just clean up the list, you may want to remove some Wi-Fi profiles.
Also, removing a Wi-Fi profile can also fix a common Wi-Fi network glitch with computers that could be stopping you connecting to the Wi-Fi network.
In this guide, we will show you how you can remove, delete or forget Wireless Network Profiles:
1. Click on Start and type in "network status" in the Type here to search box
2. Click on WiFi in the left panel, then click on Manage known networks under the WiFi section
3. Click on the network name that you want to forget
4. Now click on Forget which will delete that Wireless Network’s profile and connection details
