When your computer wakes up Windows 10 from sleep, hibernation or standby, it might ask you to login with your username and password or whatever other security you use to log in.
While this is a good security measure for a work computer, it can be annoying for users who feel that their computers is in a secure environment.
Follow these steps to to disable or enable security login after waking Windows 10 from sleep mode.
1. Click on Start and then type sign in options in the Type here to search box, then click on Sign-in options or Open
2. Under the Require sign-in section, there are two options that you can change under If you’ve been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?
- Never – Your PC will not ask you to enter a password when you resume it from sleep
- When PC wakes up from sleep – Your PC will ask you to enter a password when you resume it from sleep
NOTE: If you login with another method other than a password, this is how you will log in
