OneDrive Files On-Demand helps gain access to all the files in OneDrive without needing to download them and waste device storage.
This way you still get all your files stored online but they won’t take up any space on your hard disk.
But if you do have the space on your hard drive, it's always best to have File On-Demand unticked so that your files are both local and online.
To enable or disable Files On-Demand, do the following:
1. Left click on OneDrive Cloud (blue for business and white for personal) which is normally bottom right near your time and date, also check if it's in hidden icons with the up ^ symbol
2. Select Settings (top right cog) and then click on Settings
3. Then select Settings on the top menu where you can either:
Ticked - Enables Files On-Demand
Untick - Disables Files On-Demand
4. Left Click on OK to save settings
