If you have lost your Chrome bookmarks due to getting a new computer or Windows crashing, there are a couple of ways you can get them back.
RECOVER BOOKMARK FILE
If you did not use a Google account to sync them, then you should be able to recover them from your computer as long as it is still accessible.
1. Open File Explorer and browse to this folder
C:\Users\EXAMPLE USER FOLDER\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\default
Note: The EXAMPLE USER FOLDER will normally be your username in Windows and also that AppData is an hidden folder.
2. There will be a file there called Bookmarks, copy this file into the same location on your new computer taking in to account that your username might not be the same.
SYNC WITH GOOGLE ACCOUNT
If you have a Google account which you used to synchronize with Chrome previously, then all you have to do is the following:
1. Open Chrome and select menu (3 dots top right), then select Settings
2. Click Turn on sync....
3. Enter your Google account details
4. Once signed in, within a few minutes your Bookmarks will all appear.
Signing in with a Google Account will also give you access to all the Google apps and Chrome Password Manager.
